About

Hello!

Welcome to this space. I am United Methodist, Bible-reading, dissertation-writing, baby-wearing, tea-drinking woman from the South.

I received an MDiv from Candler School of Theology  in 2013, having previously graduating from the University of Evansville with a BA in religion and international studies. And as if all that school wasn't enough, now I'm in a doctoral program at Emory University with the hopes of getting my PhD in New Testament (you can find me here to read more about these academic pursuits of mine.)

I also work at a wonderful church with a wonderful set of youth who certainly keep me busy.

I have a wonderful family with three nieces and a nephew plus some wonderful parents, a sister and a whole giant group of in-laws who all make my life better.

Last but not least, I got married in 2010 to the love of my life, Guy. We bought our first home in 2013 and in the process of figuring out this whole grown-up thing together. He is frequently my sanity and the smartest, kindest person I know.

Our first child and light of our life was born in December 2015. He is a delight that I do not deserve.

The hope for this blog is that it will help me navigate all these various aspects of my life: scholar, pastor, wife, daughter and friend, that I might better serve the God who has called me to this place.
